Hindsight is Always 20/20

Does waiting for the next debate got you down? In honor of election season, the Weisman Art Museum is hosting "Hindsight is Always 20/20," a project by New York-based artist and musician R. Luke DuBois. State of the Union addresses are turned into light-box eye charts using the most-used terms and phrases uttered by our 43 presidents. "Scientific" and "planning" make up the biggest words on Eisenhower's chart, while "terror" and "Iraq" make up Bush's--Reagan's is shown above. It's an interesting study in political discourse, irony, language and, of course, puns. The free exhibit runs through Jan. 4, 2009.
